The wordpress theme that I use:
Clickbump
I have tried out some premium themes such as Socrates and this theme by Scott Blanchard. There were some things I liked about Socrates, however when I looked at the view code source difference between Socrates and Clickbump there was no comparison in the cleanness of the code. Like wordpress say’s “code is beauty”, by the way you don’t want to know how I feel about code.
There is controversy about the value of a page loading time with google. But, I believe that clean code is probably a faster load up and I know that Scott believes this as a programmer and he talks about this and other controversial topics in his free blog.
Anyway, I have been using the clickbump engine and scotts free wordpress theme for over a year and have been testing out the new clickbump engine and have tried some of the premium themes.
I really like them and they are really powerful, in fact they can do just about anything you want them to do. However, I seem to be a buster of code as I tend to do things that to most of you seem pretty silly, and yes, I do break or find weakness in the code. So, I would have to say I probably am a good Beta tester.
Here are some of the benefits:
- Google likes really fast sites that load up on keyword searches. This wordpress theme has most of the code in CSS (cascade style sheets) this just means that the code that google looks at is compressed and as such it reads the your site faster, this is a simplified statement of this type of coding.
- Scott Blanchard is the creator of this software, and not only is he in the trenches with us and understands the frustrations of internet marketing, he is also very reachable for any of your questions. His blog is very helpful to us marketers in the very confusing jungle of internet marketing.

What about getting traffic ?
I have some good sources that I have used for awhile to get traffic through backlinking. Some are free and some are paid.
One of the free ones and quite frankly one of the better tools to use at this time is the Free Traffic System.
This is a really wonderful resource. It does require articles of a high quality and as they are checked for quality to be distributed to other blogs. And really, whey you put your blog up to get free articles into your blog you will expect good related content, if you don’t get it you will trash it. So, if you do quality work you will really enjoy this service. I really love it and it does as much if not more than the paid systems I have.

Hosting Plans
I have tried several hosting plans for my sites. I have stayed with one and that is Host Monster. If I have a problem I can usually get to the Chat support and have the problem resolved in less than 15 minutes. This is great service and piece of mind. And yes, many sites do provide this type of support, however, there is one specific resource that they have that I have not seen on the other services I have tried. I use wordpress because it is easy and I want to set it up quickly. This is easily done with Simple Scripts. I have used fantastico to load up wordpress, but I will tell you that a 1 click and you are done is the way to go for me. Also, there are plenty of video’s to help you use this service.
