I’m the kind of person whose moods can be significantly affected by the surrounding environment. For instance, if the weather is cloudy and dreary, then I’m likely to be a bit more down than usual. However, if it’s a bright, sunny, pleasant day, my mood will often reflect that. It’s not something that I consciously do; it just happens. And I can be affected by interior surroundings as well. If I’m in a home kitchen or dinning room with colorful framed canvas art on the walls, I’ll feel a lot better than if the walls were blank and bleak. I cannot afford the art I like and in a kitchen environment I would not want the pictures damaged by cooking. So, I like to get poster art and I like to frame the posters myself.

I like to use what I call spice woods in the framing. Cedar, red cedar, white cedar, myrtle wood and others… It just gives a little feng shui feeling to the kitchen while I cook.
